1. Eligible Users and Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, to use this service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2. Service Scope and Plans
Keyly is an iOS custom keyboard built to provide an extremely fast Zhuyin input engine together with a premium AI text-refinement experience.
Service market notice: this service is currently operated primarily for the Taiwan market. Plan details, pricing, and notices are based on what is shown in Taiwan and in the Taiwan App Store storefront.
- Standard users (free download): get the high-speed Zhuyin engine with free download, plus a one-time gift of 50 cloud AI requests for newly signed-in accounts. On supported devices, local offline AI features may also be used without limit.
- Keyly Pro subscribers: are designed for high-frequency professional use. A Pro subscription unlocks unlimited or higher cloud AI quotas, gives priority connection access to top-tier AI models, and includes the AI Prompt Manager for creating, editing, and saving custom prompts.
- Keyly Point Packages (Consumable Quota): designed for users who need a large volume of cloud AI features occasionally. You can purchase "Point Packages" (e.g., Keyly Pack 180) to top up your cloud processing quota.
- Consumption Rule: One point is consumed for each cloud AI text refinement or generation request.
- No Expiration: In accordance with consumer protection regulations in Taiwan, paid point packages **do not have an expiration date** and remain valid until fully consumed.
- Balance Check: You can view your remaining points at any time in the Settings page within the Keyly app.
Complimentary quota notice: the one-time 50 cloud AI requests for newly signed-in standard users are provided as an additional reward benefit. We reserve the right to adjust, suspend, or discontinue that complimentary quota if third-party technical costs (e.g., API price hikes) or operational needs change. Any adjustment will be announced 7 days in advance via in-app notice. Paid point packages are not affected by such adjustments.
Permission notice: to use cloud AI refinement, you must enable “Allow Full Access” in iOS. If you do not enable it, you may still use Keyly's core Zhuyin engine without limit and, on supported devices, local offline AI features. You acknowledge that enabling Full Access is technically required for cloud AI features and that you are responsible for evaluating the system-permission risk on your own device.
3. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use Keyly only for legitimate text input and writing assistance, and you agree not to do any of the following:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, crack, or bypass our APIs or quota-calculation systems.
- Use bots, scripts, or other automation to send maliciously frequent requests, damage servers, or abuse cloud resources.
- Use this keyboard to distribute or engage in any unlawful digital content or activity in violation of local law.
If our systems detect abnormal high-frequency malicious clicking or scraping behavior, we may immediately freeze the related identifier and terminate service without prior notice.
4. Subscriptions, Point Packages, Pricing, and Refunds
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. We reserve the right to change pricing and free quotas with prior notice. Under applicable law, this software is digital content (including subscription periods and point packages) that is deemed completed upon delivery and therefore is not subject to a 7-day cooling-off period. Cancellation and refund requests for subscriptions or point packages are governed by Apple's policies, and the developer cannot intervene in Apple's refund review process. Please note:
- Point Package Refund Limit: as point packages are consumable services, once you have started using (consuming) any points within a package, the transaction becomes non-refundable.
- Subscription Management: deleting your account inside the app does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. You must manage and cancel the subscription through Apple's system settings.
5. Disclaimer: Accuracy and Limitations of AI-Generated Content
Whether you use a free or paid plan, the software and services are provided on an “as is” basis without express or implied guarantees. In particular, current AI systems have inherent limitations:
- Accuracy Disclaimer: AI-generated rewrites and refinements may be inaccurate, controversial, hallucinatory, or occasionally offensive.
- Professional-content disclaimer: content generated by Keyly does not constitute legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. If your writing involves formal legal rights, obligations, contracts, public statements, apologies, or professional consultation, you should have it reviewed by a qualified professional. You remain solely responsible for any liability arising from reliance on AI-generated output.
- You should review AI-refined text before sending it. The Keyly team is not liable for communication misunderstandings, interpersonal conflict, reputational harm, or business loss resulting from use of our AI suggestions.
6. Intellectual Property
The design, UI, sound feedback, and source code of the Keyly app belong to the developer team. However, the copyright in the final text that you create through Keyly, including text refined by AI, belongs entirely to you. We claim no ownership over your final written output.
7. Apple App Store Additional Terms
If you downloaded and use the service through the Apple App Store, you also agree to the following Apple-required terms:
- These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and the Keyly development team, not between you and Apple Inc. The Keyly team is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the app.
- If any third-party claim arises in connection with the app, including intellectual-property claims or regulatory non-compliance claims, the Keyly team is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging the claim, not Apple.
- You acknowledge and agree that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Service. Once you accept these terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- You acknowledge and agree that your use of this application is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA).
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). If any dispute arises out of or in connection with the service, both parties will first attempt to resolve it through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, the Taipei District Court in Taiwan will have jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
